The first two incarnations of HXBX zine have a simple, structured layout with a rigid grid-like design. An approach I later abandoned in favor of a more organic style. While these early issues aren't as visually dense as the later ones, they still feature intriguing railroad lore, unique illustrations, and a solid collection of classic train monikers.
